10/27/2016	.2	Today marked the first snow of the season. Light snow began falling around mid morning and lasted until about 12:30 PM. A slight accumulation built up on grassy surfaces and trees. The snow eventually changed to rain.
11/21/16	tace	A cold front blew through the state on Saturday evening, and with it some white stuff that unfortunately did not accumulate or fall much in southern CT (nw hills got the jackpot). Overnight, a snow squall did reach the Wallingford area, and left traces of snow on mulched flower beds and vehicles. I’ll take what I can get.
12/5/16	.3	Snow broke out over southern Connecticut early this morning, right around 5AM. It quickly ended around 9 as light snow and rain showers. I measured about .3 inches on the grassy surfaces. Unlike the last few "ornamental" snowfalls, this one was able to pack some snow onto the trees, bringing the barren woods alive again, and making for a beautiful morning drive.
12/12/16	.5	A half inch of accumulation was measured in the early morning hours. The storm came in two batches, with the first quick moving low running into enough cold air to cause snow and account for accumulation. The second part of the storm brought rain. At 9AM it was raining steadily with clear roads and a temperature of 34.
12/16/16	.2	In the early morning a cold front blew through like a freight train, dropping a quick dusting of snow on the ground and bringing howling winds. This picture was taken this AM. Car thermometer read 9 degrees.
12/17/16	5.2	Snow beautifully fell, gracing the air with it’s picturesque ambiance! South/central CT’s first decent haul of the season. I officially measured 5.25 right after precip ended. Light freezing rain and a bit of sleet accounted for .20 of accumulation, 5 inches of snow. I took a nice walk around fields edged by woodsy trails near my house. I’ll upload the video above.
1/6/17	1.6	A quick hitting storm rolled through the area-temperatures were in the 20’s so there was a high “fluff factor” due to the colder temperatures.I measured 1.6 inches of snow, bringing the seasonal total to 8 inches.
1/7/17	6.5	Our biggest and baddest storm yet arrived on Saturday mid-morning, and didn’t let up until around the 10PM hour! Snow was light and fluffy. Storm wasn’t predicted to come far enough east to give CT precip until the last minute. Southeastern CT led the league in snow for this storm. So, you're wondering about our seasonal total so far? Let me satiate your thirst for weather data. We’re at 14.5 inches thus far-on pace for an average winter.
1/15/17	1.0	Warm weather pattern! Temps in the 40’s. . . and a lil’ snow. It was a pleasant surprise to pick up a quick inch.
1/24/17	1.0	Nor'easter-high winds-rain n’ sleet. An inch of sleet accumulated, as reality yet again defied the computer models and provided a 2 hour delay the next morning to CT’s students and teachers. We’ve been stuck in a warm pattern for about two weeks. Things are changing on the horizon, so hopefully Feb will be a fruitful snow month. Seasonal total stands at 16.5 inches. PS: Sorry about the terrible picture. I’m busy.
